Internal Revenue Service - Modernized Electronic Filing Support
Intellisoft Technologies provided
development and support for Modernized Electronic Filing system to
processes electronic tax returns for Corporations (Form 1120, 1120S)
submitted
through XML format. MeF system to processes electronic tax returns for
Corporations (Form 1120, 1120S), represented in XML format, that are
transmitted from EMS channel or Web Interface. Submissions are prepared
by an Originator or a Transmitter using IRS-approved e-File software.
The approved software belongs to the Transmitter and is used to generate
the XML submission. The submissions are then transmitted to the IRS via
the Transmitter System, the Web Client, or the Electronic Management
System (EMS). The Transmitter System is an approved web service
application owned by the Transmitter. It is used by the Transmitter to
programmatically send submissions to the IRS and to receive
acknowledgements. All web service requests initiated by the Transmitter
System are initially processed by the Web Service Infrastructure, which
performs security checks against the requests and ensures that they do
not contain viruses. Work Performed by Intellisoft include - Middleware application support – Websphere Administration, MQ Administration, development of Internet Filing Tax Submission and Acknowledgement Retrieval for MeF System, Development of Virus check tools and verification of Submissions to MeF System, development of middleware infrastructure components for MeF System, peak load Performance Analysis and Testing for MeF System using IBM Tivoli Composite Application Management tool (ITCAM) |
